NES Emulator/My, Error

I downloaded the Nesterj NES Emulator and followed the instructions and put super mario bros rom under ROM. When i tried to play the game i got an error message saying that the game could not me started. i went back to the site and followed the "dummy" video and re-installed the new emulator(after deleting the ond one) and still i have the error. i would appreciate any help.

try redownloading emulator with the MAKE APPILCABLE CORRUPTS unchecked and u MUST HAVE FIRMWARE VER.1.5 for it to work

I upgraded to 1.52 and my Nes emulator wont load? it is giving me the 80020148 error and it worked before i upgraded the new version of psp. so i deleted the old emulator and re-loaded it, but to no avail. any comments are welcome.

Emulators as are any homebrews are only compatible with 1.50 and lower firmware for now.

Shame.
