How to get my Psp firmware from 3.03OE-C to the latest firmware 3.71M33(?) ?

First downgrade to firmware 1.5 and then go to http://www.pspbrew.com/forum/viewtopic. ... 6308#86308 to get to 3.52 M33. Then use this tut http://www.pspbrew.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=9567
to get to 3.71 M33.

He doesn't need to downgrade. Why can't he just upgrade directly to 3.71M33? Then upgrade to the patch.
