PSP X/O button switching?

I received my PSP from a friend in Japan, before they were even released in the US. On the Japanese PSP's, they use the O button as their primary button, rather than X on the US psp's. (if you still don't understand, I have to use O instead of X to select something like web browser, or selecting a song.)

Is there a way I can change this to where I can use X rather than O?

If you have custom firmware on your psp you can change it in the recovery mode.

yeah, my sister was using my psp before I gave her custom firmware (without asking I might add) I would never let anyone touch my life! and she was playing around in recovery mode, when she stumbled apon the O as X switch... well when I finally found my psp, I was some pissed when I had to go and switch it... It took me about an hour to figure out the problem.

I bought my PSP in Japan and for almost a year O was enter for me. Then when I got a game here in the US all of a sudden X is enter... confused the hell out of me. I still get tripped up about it because i play both US and JPN games.

don't you love how sony messes with your brain?! lol!

I thought Metal Gear Solid was the only that did that, they seem to always use the O as their enter button.
