Changing POPS

Okay, I need to change this thread around. My main issue isn't filetypes anymore, it's popsloader itself. I don't know if I made an error of some sort, but nothing happens when I hold down R when loading a PSX game. I need to switch pops in order to play some of the other games I've DLed. So, I'm just going to list what I did and what's in my seplugins folder.

When I installed it I put the popsloader folder, popsloader.prx and the pops.txt in the seplugins and enabled in through the Recovery menu.

Here is what is in my seplugins folder now:

conf.bin
es_recovery.txt
vsh.txt
popsloader (folder)
poploader.prx
pops.txt

(I know these all don't have to do with popsloader, but I'm just listing everything just in case)

Inside the popsloader folder is:

config.bin
daxheaparea.prx
idcanager_old.prx
libpspvmc340.prx
libpspvmc350.prx
libpspvmc351.prx
libpspvmc352.prx
libpspvmc371.prx
libpspvmc372.prx
meaudio300.prx
meaudio301.prx
meaudio302.prx
meaudio303.prx
pafmini300.prx
pafmini301.prx
pafmini302.prx
pafmini303.prx
pafmini310.prx
pafmini311.prx
pafmini330.prx
pafmini340.PRX
pafmini350.prx
pafmini351.prx
pafmini352.prx
pafmini371.prx
pafmini372.prx
pops300.prx
pops301.prx
pops302.prx
pops303.prx
pops310.prx
pops311.prx
pops330.prx
pops340.PRX
pops350.prx
pops351.prx
pops352.prx
pops371.prx
pops372.prx
popsman300.prx
popsman301.prx
popsman302.prx
popsman303.prx
popsman310.prx
popsman311.prx
popsman330.prx
popsman340.PRX
popsman350.prx
popsman351.prx
popsman371.prx
popsman372.prx

Inside pops.txt:

ms0:/seplugins/popsloader.prx 1

(I tried taking out the "1" but I got game could not start errors on the PSX games)

P.S.
I can't get PSPFiler 6.0 to work for me either. I really want this so I can move stuff around after using Adhoc Transfer 0.7.

I know it's supposed to be the bigger one, I just don't remember it being a .mdf. I thought it was a IMG, ISO or BIN. Also, where do I put it in?

same deal. you have to change it to an eboot man. then put it in the game folder, in a folder with the name of the game

Huh, I couldn't get Marvel Super Heroes vs. Street Fighter to work with my POPS, but I couldn't change the POPS. The menu never popped up when I held down R. However, Marvel vs Capcom works totally fine.

If the game on start up never asks you what version of pops(firmware) you want to load you don't have it properly installed. Also if the game freezes when you select a particular firmware then you do not have all the proper files for that firmware and will need to install them. There used to be a Torrent with all the pops versions in it so that you did not have to make them manually.

This is a good resource on which firmwares work best with certain titles:

It originally asked me what firmware I wanted. That was when I was using the first time with Crash Bandicoot. Now I just can't change the pops. Lucky for Marvel vs Capcom and Crash Bandicoot have the same pops. I used that list earlier, but it doesn't help. It has no listing for Marvel Super Heroes vs Street Fighter. The site I remember using last time had a black background and had a blue font. Oh well.

Hold the right shoulder button as you select the game and you will be presented with a selection of firmwares to choose from.

I edited the main post so you all know what I'm working with.

Backup your memory stick, format it and start over.

There is a chance you have overwritten your popsloader.prx with a version that is not compatible with your PSPs firmware.

Make sure you have the version of POPs that works with your firmware I don't know if newer pops works with older firmware. (I run M33 5.00-6) This time read the instructions carefully and don't forget to enable popsloader.prx in the boot menu.

I am not special and it worked for me the first time around.

Fixed! I swapped my old Popsloader folder, prx and txt with that of the 3.80v2 popsloader. Now I can change POPs (and finally lay some new PSX games!).
