Someone actually got caught...

A woman was convicted for sharing songs on K@z@@. She has to pay $222,000 to the record companies. This is a bunch of crap. Why was she targeted? People share a lot more and a lot worse over P2P networks. You can read the story here.

if you dont go flaunting your stuff and downloading obscure files you reduce your chances greatly. they particularly target massive constant downloaders. like on 300 file a day scale

The last time I downloaded a file from a p2p network was like a week ago, but I mean really I rarely download files from p2p networks just because of that reason. The last time I downloaded more then just 1 song for myself was like 2 months ago. But that's mean. Why $222,000? why not just $200,000?? O well. That sucks.

This happend to this one lady in my town too,WTH whats it with hitting up on the ladys. Maybe those tech guys just like stalking them?
IDK they have started to get after college students too,but they (most of the time) Can pay a fast and painless 1000 settlment fee. (And it pay able online,high tech)
