So I'm thinking of rolling out the ol' credit card, but what PS1 classics should I get?
Me being a total PS1 addict back in the old days might look strange asking this,
but I just want your guys opinions too.

sonic was always addicting.. so was smackdown 2..lol

Sonic wasn't on the PS1.....it.....it wasn't even a..a third party company yet.........

I swear to God I'm gonna do it.

Spyro: year of The Dragon
Final Fantasy Tactics
Metal Gear Solid
Twisted Metal games
Crash Bandicoot
Final Fantasy VII (I'm thinking you don't like this game)

I got Spyro Year of the Dragon, but when I used to play it on PS1, after I beat the last boss,
for some reason my game always crashed and I found myself back at the very beginning of the game.
Played through it three times and it still happened.

Hopefully now things will be different on my PSP Go

Oh yeah check out Gauntlet Legends too! And also if you want to play Symphony of the Night then you could also look for Castlevania: Dracula X Chronicles (PSP Game), which you can unlock SOTN to play.

You can never go wrong with Symphony of the Night or Metal Gear Solid. In fact I just beat MGS for the 6th time yesterday.

Yeah, Symphony of the Night may be the best game on PSN.

Two days ago, they released Final Fantasy IX, so you can get all three PSOne "numbered" Final Fantasy titles (which I highly recommend doing). Plus, there's Final Fantasy Tactics, one of the best console SRPGs ever made.

Let's see, for one-offs, there's Jet Moto, Twisted Metal 2, Syphon Filter, MediEvil, the Tomb Raiders, all sorts of great stuff.

Tomba! 1/2, oddworld, croc, parapathepapper, jersey devil, blasto, einhander, bushido blade,destruction derby 2, adventures of lomax.

Definitely gonna have to say Ape Escape!!!!

Yup a true classic.
Never tried the other ones but from youtube videos they look terrible.
