iPod Touch

First off....if you have one and want homebrew on it head on over to http://mac.brewology.com to learn how!

Anyway, my question is, Anyone know of some adapter u could plug into your ipod that would provide internet anywhere? Like a Verizon adapter?

I would think this is possible since Laptops have adapters somewhat like this.

EDIT

I think it could score Verizon a TON of money.

Verizon and apple had a dispute on the iPhone front. Apparently, Apple wanted Verizon for America at first....but Verizon disagreed on Terms.

So it gets me thinking....all Verizon has to do is release accessory directly from them that allows iPod touchs/iPhones to have access to their network they will be making money. NOT APPLE (technically...)

Well with what i showed up top.....Its $39 for the USB plus like $50 a month. the battery powered wifi thing is $150...

I think a 2 year deal.....that includes a iPod touch EVO netowork from verizon, thats around $40 a month maximum.

That would mean u get internet most everywhere, U can use Skype so it kinda doubles as a phone, Email mostly everywhere, you can tether it with ur laptop so u now have a computer with the same network to work from....and the list goes on and on.

EDIT: Well i got to thinking about what i have that i can use. Couldnt i tether my phones EV network to my laptop and in turn use my laptop as a wireless hotspot? I would think this is possible. I have the Alius.....its not a smartphone.

Hmmm....Maybe, if i can persuade Verizon into a $30 a month deal and all this can work then i just might do this.
