Does it count as staying on if you just have your rechargeable battery plugged into the Xbox?
because ive noticed that once i turn it off if i have it plugged in it still stays on i can hear the fans running.

It consumes less power no doubt.

Well that wasnt the case with me tho..... I was in the middle of a game at around midnight and went to go to the bathroom and forgot about it and went to bed xD

ok thanks. i usually find myself with that on and thinking im gunna get the Ring.
and for mice, if you do decide to get the 360 (and idk if sony made them for the ps3) rechargeable batteries are a great investment.:)

are the xbox intercoolers actually worth it?

From what I've heard there really not unless you play your system for more then 12 hours in one sitting without taking a break for a bit.(which if your doing in the first place you should really be looking into your health not the intercooler.

Ha Ha.......

To me (where my 360 is actually at) makes since. Its mostly in an enclosed area so it circulates the air better...scratch that, WAY better. I can tell when im not using it that the 360 is hotter.

Lets just say id MUCH rather have my 360 cool instead of hot and RROD. But, a brand spankin new 360 elite from microsoft cause it "over-heated" does sound "Mice" too. ;)

haha.
sorry i didnt specify that it depends on where it is.

well, i have my game systems set up so my 360 is to the left of the PS3 and the wii next to the ps3. That way my ps3 doesnt bake my 360 and i can sit the wii far enough away from it. And the 360 vents out the back mostly

But Bioshock used to be an exclusive xbox bame that is amazing, its coming out for PS3 now, but wow its a great game, maybe the best on the 360 in some peoples opinions

Just because were on the subject and not many people know about it,
did anyone else know that microsoft knew about the RROD before they launched?
and every system at its revealing was on an Air conditioned platform or glass casing?
just thought id share that info.

id go 360 over ps3 anyday, (i have both). i also had the RROD once, it helps if your box is on its side, since the biggest fan is on the "bottom" when its standing up. Blocks alot of airflow.

the only thing i dont like about it is when im playing hign intensity games like oblivion and mass effect, it sometimes sounds like the xbox is trying to eat inself.

Next RROD i get im buying a new elite and parting my busted one out on ebay. My buddie did that and only spent like 20-30 for a brand new one, instead of a refirb that microsoft will send back. the amount of people needing extra/spare parts is amazing.

Nope not even close to a rumor. my uncle works for microsoft and he told me about it before it even came out for retail anywhere. and then they had a RROD durring a revealing.

Here is where a major flaw comes in for the XBOX, if you think about it, there are a huge amt of hidden fees, think about it, the cost of batteries (you can just charge the PS3 thru the USB), the Wi-Fi connector, the Live subscription, RROD, LONG waiting time for microsoft to return your dead box, there are others, hence they're hidden
