Hey Ace.... its Mojave project ur thinking of ;)

I love Vista....especially since i got 2GB of Ram and a core 2 duo processor. But sometimes....i miss my XP days and knowing my laptop would be a BEAST if it was running XP.

O well...Windows 7 will be out soon enough. Im not gonna pay the money for it tho.... if ya know where i mean ace ;) Why should i pay any more to microsofts billions.

Don't you mean Mojave will be out soon? XD I wouldn't pay money for Vista, but I wouldn't pay money for any windows now would I? Windows just isn't worth money. Still good OS's, but still aren't worth my good hard earned money.

im not 100% hating on it... Yeah I have used it I bought it from staples for a ludicrous amount of money... Yeah its pretty and yeah its nice but I think its a slow resource hog. Every game you would play on Xp needs like double the requirements on vista. Every program I had for XP before was incompatible. Sygate personal firewall did not work, Firefox 2.0 did not work, but yeah maybe I just did not have SP1... anyway MY experience sucked. But yeah that press release was funny as HELL! I think gates fired that guy

My only thorn about Vista is that why does it require so much RAM power to run from a PC? I mean, c'mon? Why are the minimum requirements (1 GB of RAM) so high for Vista to run smoothly on a PC? Why does it require so much RAM? What the hell does it do when it's on idle? That is the question I ask myself about Vista. Anyone?

exactly JJ! I want to know the same thing. When i built my hackintosh it only required 512mb (maybe less...i dont remember) of RAM to look smooth. Microsoft does need to learn how to make a good OS with less RAM from apple.
