PC crashed...

as far-fetched as this sounds, it crashed and i walked downstairs for a minute, and when i came back up it was like 10% through a PC recovery and i was like "sh*t" and i kinda just let it happen from there.

ya, thanks for the Recommendation ACe, i used something different first and i saw most of my files existed, but the interface was sort of bizzarre so now i'm scanning again with REcover files 2
i really hope i can get these dumb things back

I'm confused...

How did you do recovery? Through Safemode?

I just pressed F10 when it rebooted one time.

Oh, the recovery I was talking about is in the Accessories menu.
