Simple, if you have a boot2 enabled bootmii.

A bricked Wii will still display the Bootmii menu, since the brick is late in the boot order. The Wii starts as so:

boot0 -> Power needed to boot the Wii

boot1 -> Start setup

boot2 -> Where bootmii is installed

boot3 -> Where the brick comes into play

So, in order to fix a bricked Wii, you'll need the NAND backup you made on the root. Now go to the far right option and pick the SD -> NAND option (red arrow I believe, the readme.txt will say for sure). Now just run it and let it finish completely. Once you restart, you should be good.

Although it's rare, there are bricks that go beyond the reach of bootmii. If you get that, you'll need something called Infectus. Back to the boot2 thing, if you couldn't install bootmii to boot2, then look into something called Priiloader. It gives additional protection against bricks.
