Brewology

Hey, i'm totally new to all the wii stuff though i have hacked my psp. Can I run wii or gamecube back ups without a modchip via the twilight hack or the homebrew channel? is there a boot loader app for the homebrew channel or something similiar or do i need gcos for gcn games and then run them from my sd card?
