MAME

using the Generator most emulators work just fine. however, I cant get MAME to work at all.

I made sure that the roms (still in zip format) are in the MAMERoms folder on the root.

I go to the homebrew channel. Go to the last entry ( "/apps/SDLMAME/boot.elf" ) Then I click load. It brings up a black screen with a lot of text and at the end it says "Sorry, I'm unable to locate mamefs-fs retry in 10 seconds.

Now I assume I am doing something wrong or the generator pack didnt set it up right. Thanks for any help.

mamefs-fs has to be on the root of the memory card, ill look into updating it when I get home if brent doesnt do it first. sorry for the inconvienience.

It's updated and monkey has cleared the cache. should be working now.

ok I downloaded just the MAME as a zip using the generator but I dont see a mamefs-fs file.

What? Maybe monkey didn't clear the cache on the latest version... I'll take a look ASAP...

I downloaded the package from wii brew wiki. The mamefs-fs file is huge! 150 mb. It says to put the file in the root but I just replaced the folder in the APPs directory and copied the mamefs-fs file to the root just in case. I hope that works. Did you change any of the cfg files?

I dont believe so, but I cannot vouch for it 100% because brentbizzle recently updated it. Now knowing that that file is 150mb I can say brent most likely added it to the packgen, but it was rejected because of the excessive filesize. I will look into making an exception and getting it included with the Pack Generator.
