BeLight - a small & beautiful GUI for BeSweet

Some people have reported that the official Graphical Interface for BeSweet is not easy to apprehend or to use for beginners. That's why I'm developping my own GUI to help the newbies to discover this powerful audio tool for transcoding.

What are the BeLight features today ?

  1. BeLight supports as Input files : AC3, MP2, MP3, MPA, VORBIS, WAV, AVI, VOB, LST & MUX.
  2. BeLight supports as Output Formats : AAC/MP4, AC3, MP2, MP3, VORBIS, WAV, AIFF.
  3. Provides the most BeSweet functions (Gain, SSRC, Boost, Changing Frame Rate, Soundtouch, Partial Encoding...).
  4. Plugins Support.
  5. Presets.
  6. Shibatch Equalizer.
  7. Delay Detection from the input filename.
  8. Multilanguage Support (German, Spanish, English and French for the moment).

On my todo List :

  1. Include a Job List.
  2. BeSplit and UpMix support.
  3. Write a How-To.

How to use it ?

It's very simple. First grab the last beta release of BeSweet from DSPGuru website then put BeLight in the same folder as BeSweet and load it. That's all...

Why call this GUI BeLight ?
  1. First, simply the contraction of BeSweetGUI_Light.
  2. Second, in reference to a song ;-) "Don't Be Light" from Air, a famous French electro music group.
