Post [Tutorial] Wii Backup loader (All files needed are included)
This is a quick tutorial I made to get the Backup Loader working properly on your Wii.

Download all the tools here:

http://rapidshare.com/files/147055112/WiiLoader_Tools.rar

Step 1.

Install the CIOS36_rev5-64-v1042.wad

Step 2.

Install the DVDX .dol into your apps and setup via Homebrew Channel

- Click advanced and set it to 249

Step 3.

Create a folder on your SD card in the apps folder and name it Wii Loader (Or whatever else you want) and put dvd-back.dol in there.

Step 4. Make sure that "backup-creator.exe" , "common-key" and what .iso you are wanting to backup is in the same folder.

- Drag the ISO over the "backup-creator.exe" This will create a new iso called partition.iso

Burn with IMGBurn

Step 5.
Go to Homebrew Channel on the Wii and load the Wii Loader backup-dvd.dol file you did earlier and launch.

It will ask to insert a Wii disc. Insert your backup. Your backup should load.

Download the files at:

This has all the tools necassary to start from scratch (Twilight hack, homebrew channel, DVDX, and Wii Backup Loader).

Is this possible regardless of current system version(At least before the 22nd)?

I haven't tried it on anything below 3.3U. But it works perfect on that.

Post Step 4 not working
@JustinWoodypond: First of all, thank you for the link. I'm a noob. Uses v3.3E (PAL). Got my TH and HBC working with wads and emus (all working fine). Now, I want to play backups (ISO) like Wii Music. Followed your tut here starting with step 4. Steps 1 -3 is already installed with the TH beta1 and HBC beta9 which installed cIOS36 r7 (249).

I'm stuck on step 4: I have put "backup-creator.exe" , "common-key" and Wii Music.iso (4.38GB) together with the "dvd-backup.dol" file into one folder on the PC > dragged the iso onto "backup-creator.exe" file and it comes up with this error: "ERROR: Could not get partition title key! Press any key to exit".

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS. I'm now trying the 2nd option. Burning the "unpatched" ISO at 2.4x using ImgBurn and see if my unmodded Wii would read it.
EDIT: 2nd option didn't work either. Inserted the "unpatched ISO" DVD into the Wii. Ran "back up launcher 0.3 gamma" through the Home Channel > Selected "launch game" from menu, tried "forcing Pal60" as well but what appeared is a green screen (1 sec) and then black screen.

I've gotten all the way to step 4 and created the partition and put everything in a folder in Apps called WiiLoader. However when I go to Homebrew Channel, the Wiiloader doesn't appear at all. Only the folder with DVDX in it appears.  What's the problem here? I am running Wii firmware version 3.1U and the Homebrew is Beta 8.

Does this work with an unmodded Wii, or is a Mod chip required for this backup loader?

This is for people without modchips.

hey guys just a quick question.
how do you "install" the CIOS wad file and the DVDX dol files?
I have Homebrew Channel and 3.3U FW

EDIT:
yikes! no one even read this. I guess that was a stupid question, I got another.
I recently installed the softmii app (2.1.1) so I now have a 2.2E CIOS and all of a sudden my Zelda back-up won't run, now I've tried other back-ups and they are working, it just seems Zelda isn't.
I have deleted my Zelda save so it's not that, and the SD card isn't interfering either. that game just won't load.
Has anyone encountered this? oh and the Back-up loader channel doesn't work now, though I didn't think it would. The games seem to run fine through the disk channel.

Does any one need Wii?
I can send you my Wii .
I just bought a Wii v3.4u and I have hit a wall. I rented the Zelda game and successfully loaded homebrew and downloaded some games. YEAH!
