Big problem!

My PSP 2000 slim was using 5.00 M33 CFW. My jackass roommate decided it was a cool idea to run the official Sony updater with his copy of Tekken 6, rendering my PSP unhacked. Can I still reinstall CFW on my PSP, or am I boned?

I'm sure you can use Pandora to hack it, again.
I need someone to double check, though.

Well you will either have to find another PSP that is already allowed to do homebrew and create a pandora battery. You are able to make the "magic memory stick" without another psp already if im not mistaking

Yeah you should try to find someone that has a PSP with homebrew already available on it. That is what you need to help make the Pandora's Battery. I've made a very successful tutorial in the Tutorials section of our forum about the Pandora's Battery that teaches you how to do it step-by-step if you're a little less tech-savvy. It should run you through it pretty well and if you have questions you can always ask one of us. The problem would be getting someones help.

There is another option though. Well, technically there are two options. You can try hard-modding a battery by taking it apart and modifying it to become a Pandora's Battery. We have a tutorial for that as well in our Tutorials section. Lastly, you can opt to purchase a "Datel TOOL". Those are essentially pre-made Pandora's Batteries that the company Datel sells. I haven't seen any in stores, so your best bet is picking one up online. I believe they start around $15.

Let us know if there's anything else we can help you with.

I found someone with a pandora and he rehacked mine, and gave me the 5.50 GEN-D firmware. Thing is, as I'm installing it...my PSP always cuts off, even with 100% battery.

Whats up?

Gen- anything is just pure garbage in my opinion.

Use the pandora then update to like 5.00 m33-3 or something.

Pardon me, I'm running into a bunch of hurdles and I'm getting confused, so I'm just gonna start at square one and can hopefully get set on the right track before I brick my PSP or something.

After my PSP was "pandoraed", the CFW thats on there is called 3.80 M33-5, and the system's nickname was changed to Pandora. What do I download/install so I can play Tekken 6, which is already ripped to my memory stick?

I tried installing Gen-D 5.50 so I could install Gen-D2 5.50, but the system keps cutting off during the process, despite being fully charged.

I tried installing 5.00 M33-6, but it fails when it tried to verify 500.PBP, which the updated downloaded for me right before.

yah, u need to be on 5.00 m33 to update to 5.00 m33-6, or else u will need the the 500.pbp file

the other thing:

5.50 gen-d-2 requires 5.50 gen-d!

and

5.50 gen-d requires 5.50 gen-b!

and

5.50 gen-b requires 5.50 gen-a!

and

5.50 gen-a requires 5.00 m33...

long cycle...

BUT I've heard that Dark Alex is back and is making 1 last homebrew : 6.10 m33..

And Ive heard it from people who barely say stuff without authenticity..

M33 and patching games manually > Gen...

GEN patching games automatically > m33
