Emulator Help!

Okay so i got my psp up to 5.00 M33-6.....how do i make my Emulators load? do i have to install something else on my psp? i added them to my game folders and when i try to load them it says the game could not be started...??? i tried searching for a thread on here but i got tired of looking and reading and alot of youtube videos really didn't help me understand what i has doing wrong.
