Gamecube Hacking..?

Is there anyway to use GCN hacking on the Wii? I've been looking around, with no luck.

I thought they took those servers down in the first place...?

Not currently. There is currently a project underway to get GC games to run via USB (and possibly while still in Wii mode!) and the main tool they are using is a USB/SD Gecko. As of now, I heard progress was slow but promising.
