updating to 4.1

I'm trying to update from 3.3u to 4.1. I tried to use Waninkoko's 4.1 updater, but was getting an error (forget what error number now, but will update this later if needed). I looked into it by googling the error number and some forums said to use cios60patched.wad. I am trying to use loadmii to launch it, but it doesn't show up. I don't know if I have explained it enough... if you need more info please ask. Somebody please help me.

Before you go any further you REALLY need to install BootMii and backup your nand if you haven't done so already.

Also if you are using Waninkoko's 4.1 updater you need to give your Wii internet access or nothing will happen.

Test your connection then try the update. My Wii is flaky when it comes to the wireless thing.

I don't have a problem with my connection. It downloads everything fine until it gets to installing the new photo channel when I get this message... I don't know if I wanna follow through with this if it will brick my wii... Is it even worth it? I just wanted to keep it current so I could use some of the channels I can't use now and play a newer game that might need the update, so it doesn't kill my homebrew...

Then scrap Waninkoko. You are missing something you need on your SD card.

Backup your Nand then Google "Ultimate System menu guide". I would cut and paste it here but it isn't my work. I have used it on 3 different consoles and it does work.
